Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Kuiper Enterprise Service Delivery team you will collaborate with engineering, product management, and business development leaders to engage with enterprise customers, partners and suppliers from the aeronautical industry. In this role you will collaborate with the team evaluating commitments during the pre-sales stage, and planning and executing technical on-boarding and acceptance testing for Kuiper Satellite Services delivered to customers.
The Senior TPM is the main focal point and interface between Kuiper and our customers and partners. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination and accountability together with the ability to work and lead cross-functional teams. The Sr TPM will provide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with particular focus on profitability, quality and on time delivery throughout all the life cycle of the aeronautical programs. A key trait of the Sr TPM is governance management, maintaining accurate reporting on the program status, to both Customer and Kuiper organization stakeholders, setting and tracking appropriate performance indicators and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfaction. In this role you will coordinate with other company departments, vendors and partners for the preparation of technical, compliance and commercial artifacts required for licenses, type approvals and audits.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage overall relationship with airline customers, airframe manufacturers, and major accounts throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Build customer intimacy and deliver flawless customer service by maintaining crisp communication, driving issue resolution, and conducting regular check-ins.
• Be the customer champion, and ensure all customer requirements are captured and managed within the scope of internal and third-party supplier teams.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to establish best practices within the organization.
• Lead program review meetings, coordination meetings, and workshops with customers, airframe manufacturers, and partners.
• Work with supply chain to ensure smooth, on-time production deliveries to customers.
• Work with MROs and customer organizations to ensure smooth installation of delivered products.
• Ensure Kuiper delivers against all committed SLAs. Work with quality, engineering, security, supplier organizations and customer stakeholders to oversee solution performance and reliability.
• Participate in regular status reviews with Kuiper leadership and customers to ensure successful implementation and timely resolution of service issues
Export Control Requirement:

A day in the life
In this role, you will advocate for the customer and contribute to building product and solution roadmaps. You will build sales enablement material, tech notes and technical trainings for Kuiper internal teams, partners and system integrators.

You will be joining a team focused on driving enterprise service delivery mechanisms for all of the customer facing hardware, software and systems for Project Kuiper. A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, engineering, or related experience
- 3+ years of specific work experience managing aeronautical programs
- 2+ years of experience with end-to-end product delivery for satellite hardware installed in aircraft
- • This position requires occasional travel up to 40%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support.
- Experience working at an in-flight entertainment or in-flight connectivity services provider.
- Experience working with the FAA or other aerospace regulatory bodies is a requirement.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, influence a variety of stakeholders and establish concurrence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills combined with the ability to effectively interact with different levels of the customer and internal organization.
- Ability to synthesize multiple requirements and create smart, cogent solutions to complex problems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
