Kimley-Horn's Oakland office is seeking a Transporation Planner with 8+ years of experience to join their Transit team! We are in-office/in-person.
Responsibilities The selected candidate will contribute to the marketing, management, and production of transportation and transit planning projects, which may include active transportation plans, corridor studies, safety studies, transit plans, and circulation plans.Various tasks may include short- and long-range transportation planning, overseeing public and stakeholder outreach activities, and technical analysis.This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination.Strong communication and organizational skills are critical. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, City or Urban Planning, or a related field.Self-motivated team player8+ years of transportation-focused planning experience, which may include several of the following areas:Corridor PlanningGeneral Plans, Specific Plans, or Precise PlansShort-Range Transit PlansActive Transportaiton PlansMulitmodal Concept DesignTransit Opereations and Performance AnalysisTraffic and Bicycle/Pedestrian AnalysisProficiency in analysis of transportation dataExperience communicating and working with clientsExperience managing projects and tasksExperience interacting with the public as part of project outreach activitiesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and detail-orientationAbility to balance priorities among multiple projectsSalary Range: $120,000 to $165,000
