Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Sr Vehicle RF Desense Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in electronic product development with integrated RF subsystem in vehicle. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Determine the effects of vehicle operations towards on-board wireless communications and critical radio performance. Review vehicle RF system design during packaging to identify potential noise sources and desense risks. Work closely with other wireless, mechanical, electrical, sensor/module, and software engineers during vehicle development cycle. Design desense test methodology and setup for the vehicle. Execute desense validation for the whole vehicle and propose corrective actions to address desense issues as needed Organize validation results and proposals into reports and presented to cross functional teams.Qualifications:
5+ years desense/EMI development experience on consumer products, experience in RF hardware design or antenna design, in wireless consumer electronics industries or automotive industries Knowledgeable in analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis. Familiarity with RF components (passive and active), LNA, and their characterizations. Knowledgeable in RF design with technical understanding of radio technologies: AM/FM, DAB ,cellular, WiFi/BT, GPS, etc. Familiarity with RF schematic, PCB layout best practices and guidelines. Knowledgeable in desense/EMI mitigations such as filtering, grounding and shielding. Experience using problem solving skills and a flair for understanding the physics of radiated noise coupling mechanisms. Proficient in one or more electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys and CST etc. Hands on knowledge of general purpose RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzer etc.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
