Sr. WHS Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering Program Manager, AR West
The Sr. Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering (RME) Program Manager will provide direct support and partnership to one or more of the North America Reliability & Maintenance Engineering regions or programs. In addition to supporting RME from an execution standpoint, this role will also be responsible for engaging, collaborating and partnering with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) within WHS, RME, and other functions (e.g. Operations, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Worldwide Engineering, Research & Development, Suppliers, Amazon Robotics, procurement, etc.) to continually improve network WHS standards and procedures. The Regional WHS Manager, NA RME supports both the field in program execution but also is a technical program manager role responsible for managing RME related NA WHS programs (e.g. NA EHS procedures, processes, best practices, training, and network capital projects. The role also will own one or more of the RME safety processes, such as RME Safety Questions and Concerns, Technician Safety Week and Marketing, RME Technical Safety Teams, Metrics, Fall Hazard Engineering program, RME Safety Training, etc.

Key job responsibilities
This role must have demonstrated skills in: Partnering with stakeholders to drive Safety Ownership, customer obsession, excel at WHS regulatory research, data analytics, and document technical writing.

· Develop a deep working relationship and partnership with RME and WHS stakeholders for the region(s) that you directly support.
· Establish Incident Investigation, escalation and reporting structures within your area of responsibility to ensure timely notification and collaboration on root cause analysis and controls are delivered.
· Ensure field and leadership concerns are promptly addressed or escalated to applicable stakeholder’s/support teams at the site, regional or network level.
· Ensure network alerts and actions are effectively communicated, sites have the ability to ask questions to gain further clarification, and establish methods for tracking completion.
· Review incidents to determine which require WHS Alerts or RME Safety Network Actions and drive the site RME and EHS teams to develop content through the WHS Communications process.
· Partner with equipment OEMs, Ops Engineering, WWE, RME, EHS Engineering, etc. on equipment related incidents where design or retrofits may be necessary across multiple business units.
· Become a SME in Amazon’s Contract Risk Management (CRM) program, and ensure site RME teams are executing on contractor induction by engaging with site teams and with third party service providers in your region(s) to ensure compliance with regulatory and amazon WHS policy, assist with incident investigations, and assist in clarifying Amazon policy.
· Partner with all stakeholders to continuously improve NA WHS program requirements (programs, standards, training, etc.) related to RME.
· Support the RME Leadership in improving our Technicians engagement and involvement in order to have strong ownership, bias for action in escalating safety issues, task creep, stop work authority, and peer review related safety programs.
· Use Safety Climate Network (SCN) results to deep dive into RME culture and engagement as it relates to safety to identify gaps and partner with RME leadership to drive actions to improve the overall safety culture.
· Maintain and utilize the RME Portal for safety related communications.
· Support the WHS governance and compliance organizations to evaluate regulatory misses for network corrective action related to RME.
· Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal WHS performance to change policies when required.
