As a member of the Worldwide Data Strategy for AI team within Amazon Web Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver overall data and AI strategies to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s cloud computing platform for Database, Analytics, AIML, and Generative AI across the enterprise customer base. Your responsibilities will include helping to define key customers and industries to target, driving the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in those accounts and industries, and enabling the sales team to drive the day-to-day interactions with prospects in order to build long-term business value and opportunity. You’ll also work closely with the product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field. This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive to own and deliver on ambitious goals while maintaining the agility to adapt to rapidly evolving data and AI landscapes.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the Global Data Strategy for AI team in driving AWS data and AI strategy for customer transformations
• Lead US-based customer workshops and EBC briefings, present at customer events, and further develop and refine AWS data and AI thought leadership
• Attend industry trade shows and marketing events to represent AWS and differentiate our value proposition
• Engage with customer line of business decision makers and data teams to influence AWS wins and accelerate customer business outcomes
• Collaborate with regional account teams and professional services to develop and support lighthouse customers utilizing AWS Data and AI platform services
• Work with service teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product development
• Collaborate with internal AWS stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging of AWS data and AI solutions
• Develop industry content around data, analytics, and AI focused on both business and technical personas
A day in the life
This position is a part of the Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist team, where you will lead the creation of data and AI strategies for our US-based customers. We create sales plays, leverage partners, and build new initiatives that drive results for our customers. We provide critical feedback from customers to inform our product roadmap, and work closely with our partner network to build an ecosystem supporting our customers’ goals. In emerging areas, we play a critical role as the “first in” teams to build markets for new services, domains, or solutions. When a customer needs to innovate and requires a new way to leverage AWS, they count on us to innovate with them to build and deliver what they need.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of direct industry experience in data, analytics, and/or AIML management roles
- 6+ years of consulting and/or high tech presales roles supporting data, analytics and/or AIML initiatives
- Proven track record in developing data-driven strategies that influence C-Level decision making
- Demonstrated success navigating complex organizational structures and aligning diverse stakeholder interests
- Deep understanding of data-centric business transformations extending beyond technology with ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and facilitation skills with emphasis on fostering innovation and driving organizational change
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships, both internally and with external vendors/clients
- Experience implementing data and AI governance-related initiatives
- Experience with Design Thinking / Working Backwards methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
