Sr.Content Acquisition Manager, TVOD, Prime Video Japan
Prime Video is one of the most important strategic services to Amazon Prime customers. We started Prime Video subscription service (SVOD) in 2015 to dramatically enrich Prime members' benefit and have been expanding the video selection including Amazon original content. Prior to the launch of SVOD, we have started the rental and sales of digital video as Transnational Video On Demand (TVOD) in 2013, and TVOD has been working as a key pillar in Prime Video to offer further selection to our customers. With TVOD offer in Prime Video, customers can access to wider, deeper, and newly released video contents with one click purchase. The Sr. Content Acquisition Manager, TVOD, will be a pivotal leader in Prime Video to expand our paid offer business especially with top tier vendors, and lead the new initiatives to realize the best customer experience in content consumption on Prime Video. Some of the questions that this role will be expected to answer are:

* How can we have our customers first experience the digital streaming in TVOD?
* How can we accelerate the growth of JP TVOD market segment as a whole?
* What selection do we need to acquire, and how can we do?
* How the best can we partner with top tier vendors to optimize customer experience?
* What will customers' demand be in three years, and how will we be able to serve the customers better?
* What will JP entertainment industry be in three years, and what we should do now?

The ideal candidate will start with the customers and work backwards to conceptualize and bring to life innovative benefits, contents, and features to provide the best value to our customers. The candidate is comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, analyzes data deeply internally and externally, negotiates with vendors on behalf of customers, and influences external stakeholders and multiple internal functional units to take actions with significant downstream implications for JP Prime Video.

Key job responsibilities
* Set the goal and strategy for top tier vendors and agree the actions and initiatives to achieve the goal.
* Create and lead the initiatives to improve customer experience and accelerate the business growth.
* Influence and negotiate with external stakeholders and execute actions to acquire new selections.
* Seeks opportunity and sources for exclusive contents from partners to bring additional benefit to existing customers and acquire new customers.
* Monitor the performance for accountable vendors/initiatives in TVOD business and report it to senior leaders periodically.

The role will require close collaboration with the following internal teams:

* JP and global Prime Video business teams
* Global Prime Video product team
* Prime Video legal and ops team
* JP retail category teams

and the following external stakeholders:

* Local film studios
* US Hollywood major studios
* Music labels/Sports licensors
* Local anime studios
* Terrestrial TV broadcasters
* Local production agencies

This position is based in Tokyo and reports to the general manger of JP Prime Video TVOD business.
