Monitoring Cloud is an integral part of the Salesforce Infrastructure, providing key insights for all development teams to quickly detect and remediate incidents, ensuring the highest availability of Salesforce products for our customers. Our cloud platform manages the entire telemetry stack, from agents that emit, collect, and ship telemetry to large-scale backend systems that store data and enable efficient, low-latency queries. We support all key pillars of telemetry—metrics, logs, traces, and events—at a massive scale, using a combination of open-source and proprietary technologies designed to run efficiently in the public cloud.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager/Director to lead our engineers in architecting, implementing, delivering, and operating our Monitoring API Platforms services. This role is crucial for maintaining the high availability and reliability of our services, which are essential to Salesforce's operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify reliability and data quality issues, driving the triaging and remediation process.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and engineers, to deliver features and make critical product decisions.Lead daily stand-ups as the Scrum Master for engineering teams, align team objectives with priorities, and ensure adequate resources for project success.Foster a positive team culture, provide technical guidance, and support career development for team members.Occasionally contribute to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments and to keep your technical skills sharp.
