SRE/DevOps Engineer

Join the Capacity Management team as an Associate DevOps Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, where you will play a key role in optimizing our tooling strategy to meet business and regulatory demands. You will leverage your expertise in Grafana, Dynatrace, and Low Code Platforms to ensure efficient resource utilization and infrastructure performance across both private and public cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize monitoring and analytics tools such as Grafana and Dynatrace to build a Capacity management risk profile view for applications and provide insights into infrastructure capacity and application performance, enabling the remediation of bottlenecks. Contribute to the tooling strategy for Infrastructure Capacity Management and Planning, focusing on forecasting and predicting infrastructure capacity limits in both private and public cloud environments. Collaborate with SRE LOB teams to support Infrastructure Capacity Management in CIB, focusing on compliance, quality, and standardization. Work with development and operations teams to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability, leveraging Low Code Platforms to streamline processes. Assist in the implementation of capacity planning solutions to provide real-time insights into infrastructure utilization and performance. Contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle. Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Formal training or degree in software engineering or related field with 5+ years of applied experience. Proficient in using monitoring and analytics tools, including Grafana and Dynatrace, with experience in Grafana integrations and interactive dashboard designing. Experience in identifying and resolving capacity issues across systems, specifically in capacity planning and optimization strategies. Practical experience in system design, infrastructure development, testing, and operational stability. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Experience with cloud-native environments, primarily in AWS. Familiarity with industry-wide technology trends and best practices. Experience with Low Code Platforms.
