Position Description:

Working Hours is USA time zone.
A Zabbix L3 (Level 3) support engineer typically handles advanced troubleshooting and maintenance tasks for the Zabbix monitoring system. Here are some key responsibilities and requirements that might be included in a job description (JD) for this role:
Responsibilities:

1. Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Zabbix monitoring, including performance tuning and optimization.
2. System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups to ensure the stability and security of the Zabbix environment.
3. Configuration Management: Configure and manage Zabbix components, including servers, proxies, agents, and databases.
4. Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline monitoring processes and improve efficiency.
5. Custom Monitoring Solutions: Design and implement custom monitoring solutions using Zabbix s low-level discovery (LLD) and other advanced features1.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate Zabbix with other systems and ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
8. Training and Support: Provide training and support to L1 and L2 support teams, as well as end-users, to enhance their understanding and use of Zabbix.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Several years of experience with Zabbix, including advanced configuration and troubleshooting.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
3. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
4. Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
5. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Zabbix Certified Specialist or Zabbix Certified Professional are a plus.
