Description:Lockheed Martin is looking for a dynamic leader to join our Space Software Product Line (SSPL) organization! The SSPL organization supports over 30 programs across all 5 Space Lines of Businesses (LOBs); advancing software products through SW Factory standards and flexible software architectures. We are seeking an additional SSPL Product Line Manager to lead the Vehicle Software Product Team. This team designs and develops software for the LM50, LM400 and LM2100 series of spacecraft. The candidate will expand the existing SSPL Leadership team, and lead a focused asset or program area within the product line.
This role will be accountable for the technical, cost, and schedule aspects of software development. This role is anticipated to be a leader of leaders will drive lead product line execution, solidify SW Factory methodologies, promote SSPL across the organization, and develop the SSPL roadmap and strategy. This leader must energize the team to bring efficiency to the solutions, engaging the workforce and driving talent development. Reporting to the SSPL Sr. Manager, this SSPL Product Line Manager will also work collaboratively with other SSPL Product Line Managers to ensure the best solutions for customers and ensure execution on programs.
In this role you will:
• Work alongside world class technical experts and leaders to develop software solutions that save lives, advance technology, and explore the universe.
• Perform software program management, including planning and managing multiple simultaneous schedules; prioritizing across multiple projects; identifying and managing technical, cost, and schedule risks
• Advocate for continuous process improvement, and ensure that SSPL processes are followed
• Work with SSPL and external stakeholders to coordinate requirements, data, and test cases
• Work with SSPL and Embedded Talent Center leadership to drive the technical strategy and vision of the organization
• Be a leader in the areas of talent attraction and retention, performance management, training, employee development, mentoring, and coaching
• Manage staffing across the team, inclusive of support to multiple simultaneous projects.
Basic Qualifications:
• Previous management or technical leadership/lead experience; including managing tasks, schedule, and budget
• Experience with software development processes and life cycles
• Experience with Agile methods, processes and practices
Desired Skills:
• Previous embedded software management or technical leadership experience
• Previous Embedded Flight Software development experience
• Previous experience with the LM50, LM400 and/or LM2100 Bus series

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $236,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
