Job Description SummaryThe Technical Field Advisor II (TFA) provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for their Turbine Generator Systems. Responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID’s, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labor, tools and materials as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. The primary responsibility of the TFA II is to safely accomplish the maintenance and repair of the various equipment used in power generation applications. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our Steam Power vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Essential Responsibilities

Fulfill contract responsibilities for designated and qualified skill set (Turbine Mechanical, Generator)Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures utilizing the latest electronic communication, references and documentation technologies.Recognize, predict and document potential failures and future outage recommendationsWorking knowledge of prints/print reading, such as manufacturing drawings, P&IDs and schematic drawingsParticipate as a Service Team member dedicated to Safety metrics.Pre-outage planning; possibly recommending and administering policies and proceduresLead execution and oversight of projects under the TFA’s core competencyExecute project management and technical leader dutiesSupport warranty administrationTroubleshoot and problem solve with the support of engineering to resolve customer issuesPerform other duties as assignedSupport business needs when not on field assignmentWillingness and ability to travel as required by field assignmentsAbility and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or, a High School Diploma / GED, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in hands-on Steam Turbine experience

Possesses the knowledge and skill to actively support an outage and the awareness of where to seek answers to questions as they arise. Has experienced successful installations and outages.Experience and training on GE, Alstom, Siemens or other OEM equipment is preferredDemonstrates a positive and professional demeanor in managing customer relationships with a strong ability to address technical and contractual matters effectivelyThe knowledge and skill to oversee outage tasks/scopes/small teamsFollow up all quality aspects according GE QA manual and proceduresWorking knowledge and application of EHS policies and proceduresStrong analytic and problem-solving skillsStrong computer skillsRelies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goalsEffective communication to HQs, through company e-toolsGood organizational, project management, oral/written communication, interpersonal/leadership skillsStrong business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customer“Special consideration will be given to applicants from Fieldcore.”

Eligibility Requirements:

English proficiency requiredExtensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments is required (80% travelling time)Ability to obtain unescorted security clearance at nuclear power facilitiesWilling to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as requiredValid Driver’s License and passportAbility to climb ladders and scaffolding, work in hot environments, and lift 25 lbsMeet core competency Level II skill requirements and successful completion of required training programs in a minimum requirement

Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of your pre-employment background and drug screening (to be taken within 48 hours of your receipt of the test paperwork). You may receive specialized classroom and laboratory training to prepare you for your assignment. You will be expected to complete periodic training to meet competency requirements for the position. All training courses attended must be successfully completed as a minimum requirement for employment.

Notes:

The salary range for this position is 72.400,00 - 90.500,00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 7% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
