Position Summary:
The Certified Nurse Aide applies and demonstrates all knowledge and skills learned in the Nurse Aide Training Program and as directed and supervised by the Certified Nurse Aide Instructor. Assumes specific duties involving direct resident care upon successful demonstration of required skills as taught and supervised by the Instructor in a classroom and clinical setting. Successfully pass the NYS Certified Nurse Aide Exam composed of both computer based written exam and a clinical skills exam monitored by a registered nurse evaluator. Education Requirements:
Must be able to read, write and speak English; High School Diploma or equivalent life-experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to serve others.
Experience Requirements:
Experience in service delivery in the health care, business or domestic field is preferred.
Must be able to attend the 4 weeks Certified Nurse Aide Training Course. Day Shift, 37.5 hours a week for 4 weeks, 8a – 4p; 3 weeks in a classroom setting and 1 week in a clinical setting.
