About Team:

Supply Chain Technology(SCT) Data Science team at Walmart is focused on using the latest research in Operations Research, Machine learning and Computer Vision to solve business problems in supply chain process flow. We build Computer vision models to enable QC, ranking and classification algorithms for next gen use cases to empower decision-making, solve optimization problems and work with engineering team to build reference architectures and pipelines in a big data ecosystem. Advanced analytical algorithms driven by our team help Walmart to optimize supply chain operations, business practices, reduce cost and pass those benefits to our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing store operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, building, and scaling our intelligence system for store operations and ensuring a robust and scalable data-driven decision-making system.

What You Will Do:

Build Walmart-scale optimization and ML models to improve store operations efficiency, boost GMV, using cutting-edge techniques in the industry..

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale store operations, sales, and inventory data.

Integrate data from a variety of sources, including APIs, databases, and 3rd party tools. Collaborate with other data scientists to build and deploy efficient, scalable data models to support analytics and machine learning workflows.

Develop tests and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability.

Optimize data pipelines and storage solutions for performance and cost-efficiency.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

What You Will Bring:

Masters in Technology/Engineering with 6-9 years of experience designing and architecting Machine learning solutions end to end.

Deep understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.

Extensive experience with SQL, JAVA, Python, Scala

Deep expertise in big data frameworks, such as Apache Spark.

Strong knowledge of streaming data platforms, such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis.

Hands-on experience with GraphQL API development, including schema federation and query optimization

Proven experience with cloud platforms, such as GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow) or Azure (Data Factory, Blob Storage)

Mastery of orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows

Strong understanding of feature transformation techniques and experience working with feature stores.

Strong understanding of a suite of machine learning algorithms (statistical to cutting edge) and experience in taking them to PROD in a scalable manner.
