The Staff Accountant – OneStream (OS) Consolidation has responsibility for planning, scheduling, coordinating, preparing, evaluating, and reviewing OS consolidation functions for the Eversource system.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions
Preparing, reviewing, evaluating, and maintaining the OS financial information and book of records of each Eversource company in accordance with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts, Accounting Principles Generally Accepted in the United States of America (GAAP), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.Overseeing the work activities associated with applicable OS accounting projects/issues. Ensuring projects undertaken are in accordance with overall Eversource goals and objectives.Administering approved Company policies and procedures as they relate to accounting functions.Preparing and maintaining the balancing of accounts of each Eversource company.Overseeing the accuracy and maintenance of interfacing functions with the Accounting system.Initiating and maintaining accounting controls.Establishing procedures as they relate to accounting activities.Maintaining support folders for accounting transactions and related reports for each Eversource company.Where applicable, preparing and dissemination of various monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reports for each Eversource company, including key deliverables to the Controller, senior executives, Audit Committee, and external auditors.Development of ways to improve processes and results.Supporting the OS related state and federal regulatory agency date requests and/or other Eversource key strategic or other initiatives.Evaluating any enhancements/upgrades/changes to OS.Support cash flow processQualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS and OneStream systemsStrong technical knowledge in consolidation and financial statement preparationKnowledge of the FERC Uniform System of AccountsKnowledge and experience in GAAP and SEC regulations impacting financial statement presentation and financial reporting practices and proceduresKnowledge of FERC/regulatory accounting and its impact on financial statementsKnowledge of basic accounting theory Knowledge and experience with financial management procedures and techniquesKnowledge of cash flow statement theory/preparationOther Preferred Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or closely related field required. A Master’s level degree and/or CPA designation is preferred.Experience:
Three (3) plus years of related accounting and/or finance experience, some of which must be corporate accounting, consolidation, and/or public accounting experience.Compensation and Benefits:
