Dynamic, commercial real estate investment and management company, headquartered in the Sherman
Oaks area have an immediate opening for a property accountant who will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day accounting and finance functions for a real estate organization with a diversified portfolio of retail, industrial, office & residential properties.
Job Summary
· Prepare internal financial reports for management on a monthly basis to reflect the operational and financial status of the Company
· Maintain general ledger and internal accounting controls
· Prepare inter-company billings for field service maintenance, management fees and special projects
· Maintain mortgage loans and lender reporting responsibilities
Maintain fixed asset depreciation and intangible amortization schedules
· Monitor monthly construction project job costs
· Reconcile, verify and validate all entries and postings to balance sheet and income statement accounts
· Prepare annual CAM reconciliations and estimates
· Facilitate the annual review of the Company’s consolidated financial statements with outside auditors
· Facilitate the preparation of annual and individual tax returns with outside tax preparers
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA helpful but not required
· Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
· Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred not required
· Real estate industry experience preferred not required
· Applicants will be required to take skill evaluation test
