Description We are in the search for a Staff Accountant for a well-established company in the healthcare industry. The role is based in San Francisco, California. Responsibilities: + Reconcile balance sheets monthly, post corrections, and ensure accurate GL entries. + Record and prepare journal entries for payments + Collaborate on intercompany journal entries and reconciliations. + Prepare financial statements with variance analysis. + Resolve accounting discrepancies regularly. + Reconcile fixed asset records with the general ledger. + Manage asset additions, disposals, and audit documentation. + Conduct regular physical inventory. + Prepare financial compliance reports (monthly, quarterly, annual). + Compile schedules for audits and tax returns. + Support CapEx planning and tracking. + Assist in financial statement updates and budgeting. + Maintain and implement accounting/internal controls. + Participate in ERP implementation. Requirements Work Experience + 5+ years in GL accounting and/or audit. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Proficient in financial accounting software; adaptable to new systems. Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables. + BS/BA in Accounting or similar strongly preferred. + Public accounting experience a plus. + Strong analytical skills for financial data, reports, and projections. + Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. + Works well under pressure, independently, and collaboratively.
