We are seeking a Staff Accountant who is an impact player to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements. The ideal candidate is expected to have a deep sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, possess solid operational and technical accounting background, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between various Four Hands stakeholder groups.
In This Role\nManage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close process including preparation of journal entries\nDrive acceleration of the current general ledger close process by identifying and leading the implementation of automation and streamlining of the monthly/quarterly close processes\nEnsure consolidated financial statements are consistent with GAAP, including newly issued and emerging pronouncements\nReview expenses at a cost-center level for accuracy and understand key trends\nPartner with cash accountant to maintain bank statements and perform bank reconciliations\nEnsure balance sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled utilizing the Blackline tool\nManage fixed assets within Sage tool and prepare supporting schedules\nPrepare supporting schedules and facilitate follow-up as part of Four Hands’ annual external audit and bank audit\nEstablish and own effective internal controls and appropriate accounting procedures, including evaluation of processes and controls for compliance\nSupport the implementation of the new ERP system\nInteracts with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting challenges, drive operational improvement, and enhance financial processes\nContinuously scale and improve current processes and policies to meet the needs of a high-growth organization\nComplete other accounting tasks as assigned, including ad hoc projects\nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team \nOther duties as assigned by Management\n
The Ideal Person\nBachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred\n2+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities \nTechnical and international accounting experience preferred\nSolid understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes, internal controls, and financial analysis tools\nIntermediate-level experience using Excel, including the ability to work with complex tables and X-lookups \nPositive attitude, ability to work well under pressure; exceptional customer service\nResults driven with a high sense of urgency, taking ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities\nAct with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships\nFoster open collaboration and constructive dialogue \nContinuously innovate new solutions to influence and respond to change\nFocus on superior outcomes and calibrate work processes for outstanding results\n
