Key Responsibilities include:

Perform monthly close activities including, but not limited to: preparing and entering journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accurate and timely financial reporting and intercompany balancingEnsure transactions are recorded in the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as well as in compliance with company policies and proceduresAssist in maintaining internal control documentation and evaluating our internal control environmentAssist with internal and external audits including the provision of supporting schedules as requiredManage fixed asset records including required reporting and be responsible for the Capital expenditure process and reviewMaintain sales & use tax reportingReview and update accounting policies as requiredDaily sales reporting, including shipments, open orders and backlogAd hoc analysis as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within public accounting, manufacturing &/or distribution businessesGood working knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques, principles and US GAAPOracle, SAGE and Longview system experience is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to be clear and concise to convey messages appropriate to finance and non-finance people alikeSelf-starter who is highly organized, comfortable in an environment with tight deadlines and multiple tasks with attention to detail Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing environment
