It's the first Margaritaville in Texas and we welcome you to the one and only lake resort on Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. Overview We're looking for a detail-oriented, capable Staff Accountant. Duties include: Responsibilities: • Analyze financial data and prepare reports and recommendations. • Review, verify, and approve transactions and journal entries. • Actively participate in the month-end close process. • Assist in generating month-end financial reports and annual budget and forecasts for the Director of Finance. • Ensure compliance with procedures and internal controls. • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure general ledger accuracy. • Participate in special projects as needed. • Perform any additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements: A BS in Accounting with 2-4 years of related work experience. Strong understanding of components of a balance sheet, income statements, and statements of cash flows and the effect of journal entries on these statements. Solid understanding of receivables, payables, and computerized accounting systems. Proficient with MS Office, able to handle a high volume and work in a fast-paced environment while producing consistent and accurate results. Ablility to multi-task.
