Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our clients team located in Bedminster, New Jersey. This role involves managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the General Ledger. This is a long-term contract role that provides an excellent opportunity to utilize and enhance your accounting skills. Responsibilities: • Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting • Maintain and update the General Ledger regularly • Prepare journal entries as part of the monthly financial closing process • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status • Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts and transactions • Maintain accurate customer credit records • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in the retail industry, preferably in furniture retail • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Strong understanding of General Ledger maintenance • Experience in creating Journal Entries • Familiarity with Month End Close processes • Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
