Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Napa, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be playing a crucial role in various accounting operations within our firm. You will be expected to work flexibly, splitting your time between our office and your home. Responsibilities: • Conduct weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation • Generate sales reports using Wine Direct software • Handle full cycle accounts payable including opening mail, inputting invoices in Bill.Com, routing for approval, and maintaining vendor communications • Responsible for vendor setup and W9 collection • Undertake 1099 reporting • Conduct credit card reconciliation in Expensify • Manage custom crush inventory reporting in Vintrace • Oversee deposits and accounts receivable reporting and collections • Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing Alongside these responsibilities, you will also need to possess advanced Excel skills and be skilled in Word and Outlook. Knowledge of Sage 100, Wine Direct, Bill.Com, Commerce 7, Vintrace, and Expensify will be advantageous. A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience and similar duration in the wine industry is preferred. You should also have an understanding of accrual-basis accounting and month-end closing procedures.
