Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Plain City, Ohio. In this role, you will be expected to perform various accounting duties including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries. This role also involves assisting with data entry for payroll and month-end close processes, as well as generating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entry updates. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy. • Participate in the month-end close process. • Assist with data entry tasks for payroll. • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks. • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. • Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall accounting department goals. • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to drive efficiency in accounting processes. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in handling Bank Reconciliations is necessary • Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries is required • Knowledge of Month End Close procedures is crucial • Proficient in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Must possess excellent time management skills for meeting strict deadlines • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make swift, sound judgments • Ethical conduct and high level of integrity.
