Staff Accountant
Description We are providing an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves managing a variety of accounting duties, including data transfer, account reconciliation, and process creation. The Staff Accountant will also support operational functions in our organization. Responsibilities: • Managing the transfer of data from the existing system to the new one • Closing books and overseeing month-end processes • Assisting in the ramp-up of new company operations across multiple locations • Working closely with the Corporate Controller and CEO to ensure smooth operations • Handling account reconciliation, payables, and inventory management/control • Implementing and ensuring team adoption of new processes • Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, Acumatica to perform tasks and improve processes • Supporting the establishment of a new company with approximately 35 staff members • Ensuring a smooth transition of accounting functions as the company evolves. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with General Ledger management • Ability to process Journal Entries accurately • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Working knowledge of NetSuite software • Proficiency in Oracle software • Experience with QuickBooks software • Familiarity with SAP software • Experience with Acumatica software • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.
