Staff Accountant
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in McDonough, Georgia, 30252, United States. The selected candidate will be tasked with various accounting roles including handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger duties. This role is ideally suited for someone with the ability to handle customer inquiries, monitor customer accounts, and take appropriate action. Responsibilities: • Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and ledger maintenance. • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. • Utilize Oracle for accounting tasks while preparing for a transition to Accumatica. • Proficiently use MS Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, to perform various tasks. • Conduct account reviews and apply cash and deductions as necessary. • Handle collections, working closely with customers to settle their accounts. • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all debits and credits are accurately accounted for. • Engage in month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured. • Leverage skills in NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Possesses a minimum of one year of experience in an accounting role • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Strong knowledge of the General Ledger • Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software • Experience with Oracle financial software • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software • Experience with SAP financial software • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
