Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in North Andover, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be tasked with the responsibility of handling a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to, account reconciliation, journal entries, and fixed asset management. Responsibilities: • Utilize accounting software systems to process and record financial transactions. • Manage and perform accounting functions in a timely manner. • Handle sales and use tax procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. • Prepare and record journal entries as part of the accounting cycle. • Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. • Implement fixed asset management strategies to track and record company assets. • Conduct balance sheet account reconciliation to verify account balances. • Monitor the financial status of projects and provide relevant accounting support. • Ensure all financial records and statements are accurate and up-to-date. • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of accounting operations.
