Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Douglas, Massachusetts. This role involves supporting monthly financial activities, performing reconciliations, and participating in special projects. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. Responsibilities: • Support monthly financial activities, including preparing journal entries and assisting with month-end close procedures • Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded • Maintain and update the general ledger, identifying and correcting any discrepancies • Use QuickBooks to track and analyze financial data • Participate in special projects as required, providing financial expertise and assistance • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with the General Ledger system • Ability to accurately make Journal Entries • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using QuickBooks software • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Ability to work collaboratively within a team • Detail-oriented and organized • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
