Description We are in search of a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in the equipment industry in Odessa, Texas. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including managing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Responsibilities: • Perform and manage journal entries to keep the general ledger up-to-date • Conduct reconciliations of the bank and general ledger accounts • Carry out financial analysis to provide detailed information on business performance • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and reporting • Participate in the month-end close process, which may occasionally require additional hours • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) • Ensure all financial records are accurate and in compliance with industry standards • Assist in other accounting duties as needed.
