Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves working in the accounting industry, where you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications
• Maintain up-to-date customer credit records
• Handle various accounting duties such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and month-end close
• Conduct bank reconciliations and journal entries as part of the general ledger operations
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle for financial transactions and record-keeping
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all accounting tasks
• Continuously improve processes and procedures within the accounting department to improve efficiency. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries is required
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is crucial
• Must demonstrate proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy are necessary
• Experience in financial report preparation is preferred
• Must demonstrate high ethical standards and integrity in all work-related actions
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines is crucial
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
