Description We are providing an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Service industry based in Agoura Hills, California. The role involves assisting with financial analysis, handling month-end close related duties, and other accounting tasks. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Aid in financial analysis for Labor and Benefits • Prepare journal entries and conduct variance checks related to month-end close • Maintain and manage compensation matrix • Assist in auditing bi-weekly payroll • Support account reconciliation and audit preparation • Contribute to ad-hoc analysis or analytics as required • Utilize skills such as MS Great Plains Accounting, Excel Formulas, Account Reconciliation, and Audit for daily tasks. Requirements • Possess expertise in MS Great Plains Accounting • Proficient in Excel Formulas • Experienced in Account Reconciliation • Have knowledge and experience in Audit • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Familiarity with accounting software and systems • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Capable of meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Proven track record of improving efficiency and accuracy in managing financial data and transactions.
