Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Phoenix, Arizona. Our team works within the accounting industry and is dedicated to providing top-notch services to our clients. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks ranging from preparing financial statements to client communication. Responsibilities: • Preparing comprehensive financial statements • Utilizing QuickBooks online for payroll processing • Regularly interacting with clients, including training them on QuickBooks usage • Conducting minor tax preparation tasks • Maintaining a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger • Preparing journal entries and managing the month-end close • Attending to client inquiries and resolving them promptly • Monitoring client accounts and taking necessary action as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance • Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries • Familiarity with Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in QuickBooks software • Experience in Tax Preparation • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High level of integrity and trustworthiness • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
