Staff Accountant
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our Tulsa, Oklahoma office. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, creating journal entries, and handling budget forecasts. The Staff Accountant will be a crucial part of our accounting team, reporting to the CFO and working closely with the other four members of the department. Responsibilities: • Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring they align with company policies and procedures • Assist with budget forecasting, providing insights into potential financial outcomes • Utilize NetSuite software to maintain accurate financial records and reports • Work closely with the CFO for training and reporting purposes • Handle any accounting needs specific to non-profit operations, if applicable • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity • Participate in the month-end close process, verifying all financial data • Process accounts payable and receivable as needed • Collaborate with the entire accounting team to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently • Knowledge and experience in maintaining the General Ledger • Proficiency in preparing and recording Journal Entries • Experience in performing Month End Close activities • Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP • Prior experience in Non-profit Accounting • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • Professional certification such as a CPA is a plus, but not mandatory • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
