Staff Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will take charge of maintaining the books of accounting for a portfolio of properties, efficiently coordinating and executing the accounts payable function, and managing all aspects of accounts receivable. Responsibilities: • Oversee the maintenance of accounting books for a diverse portfolio of properties • Coordinate and execute the accounts payable function to ensure timely and accurate invoice and payment processing • Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including processing and entering all received monies for bank deposit and ledger posting • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy • Produce financial statements on a monthly basis as per request • Maintain accurate records and control reports to ensure financial transparency • Prepare annual budgets to facilitate financial planning • Undertake other tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with the General Ledger process • Capable of making Journal Entries • Experience in Month End Close process • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel software • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines • Excellent problem-solving skills • Must adhere to ethical standards Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
