Staff Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry. The position is located in Mooresville, North Carolina, 28117, United States. The Staff Accountant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, ranging from creating and sending various reports to assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Responsibilities: • Generate and distribute daily and weekly reports related to machine punch errors and purchase orders • Support Accounts Payable by facilitating three-way matching and invoice entry into the system • Oversee the General Ledger coding of monthly insurance bills by department and location • Validate and reconcile all expense reports, ensuring all necessary backup is present • Assist in the review and reconciliation of all credit cards and ensure all proper backup is present • Oversee the reconciliation of the Flex Spending Account and ensure all proper backup is present • Execute monthly reconciliation and analysis of various Asset and Liability General Ledger accounts • Prepare and post standard monthly journal entries and accruals • Generate sales and manufacturing taxes reports according to state tax percentages • Assist in matching Accounts Payable checks with the corresponding invoices with backup • Provide backup for Accounts Receivable invoicing and issuing customer credits • Respond to requests for proper documents and backup during our annual financial reporting audit • Handle various Ad Hoc projects as needed. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position • Must possess skills in General Ledger and Journal Entries • Experience with Month-end Journal Entries is necessary • Knowledge of Journal Entry Preparation is required • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential • Must demonstrate competency in Microsoft Excel • An understanding of the Health Pharm/Biotech industry is preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must comply with all company policies and regulations • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
