Staff Accountant
Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Bridgman, Michigan. This role is integral to our team, as it involves understanding and implementing typical accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Financial Statements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating unique business processes to match accounting best practices and reconciling General Ledger accounts. Responsibilities: • Understand and implement typical accounting functions, such as Account Receivables, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger. • Generate and set up Financial Statements. • Develop unique business processes to match accounting best practices. • Reconcile General Ledger accounts and journal entries. • Have in-depth knowledge of month-end close processes and accruals. • Maintain a working knowledge of the General Ledger. • Be responsible for the setup and generation of Financial Statements. • Demonstrate general business intelligence. • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. • Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Experienced in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Demonstrated ability to handle General Ledger tasks. • Skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries. • Experience with Month End Close procedures. • Knowledge and experience working with a Major ERP System. • Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
