We are seeking a competent and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including reconciliations, GL and billing, maintaining records of assets, and generating P& L statements. In addition, you will tackle the mission to maintain organized records of all receipts and transactions and optimize our existing processes. Job Responsibilities: + Ensure all chart of accounts are correct and the General Ledger is aligned. + Responsible for manual sorting and attaching of receipts to each point of purchase. + Use Paylocity to maintain expenses and ensure all employees correctly name their expenses and provide original receipts. + Assist with job costing and provide insights on the profitability of projects. + Generate accurate and timely P& L statements. + Maintain fixed assets record and calculate depreciation. + Carry out project-based accounting for 3-4 projects at a time, including job costing. + Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks, including journal entries and month-end close. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. + 3-5 years of accounting experience. + Strong proficiency in QuickBooks online. + Excellent organization and time management skills. + Self-starter who can be productive without being micro-managed + Ability to improve processes and reduce paper-based and manual work. + Ability to work with a diverse team and handle pushbacks against time-consuming processes.
