Staff Accountant
Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Richardson, Texas. The role involves a range of responsibilities, including audit support, sales and state tax management, SIM management, and inventory reporting. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing customer credit applications, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation and organization of supporting documentation for audits • Handle sales tax, state tax, licenses, and other registrations to ensure full compliance • Manage and maintain GSA and other pricing schedules • Oversee SIM management for Verizon, Cellhire, and AT& T • Work closely with the Operations Manager to evaluate stock levels, report shortages, and purchase necessary stock • Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations • Maintain the General Ledger and perform Journal Entries • Assist in Month End Close operations • Use financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and analyze financial data. Requirements • Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary • Must have a strong grasp of General Ledger maintenance and management • Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries accurately • Experience with Month End Close processes • Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software is beneficial • Must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred • CPA certification or progress towards it would be a plus • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
