Staff Accountant
Description We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee, 38119, United States. In this role, you will be central to the financial operations of our company. You will be handling accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and managing general ledger entries. Additionally, your role will involve facilitating month-end close activities and utilizing various accounting software. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the general ledger. • Conduct regular bank reconciliations. • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions. • Prepare and post journal entries. • Carry out month-end close activities in a timely manner. • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded with accuracy. • Monitor customer accounts and undertake appropriate actions as needed. • Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records. • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and systems. Requirements • Must possess practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations is required • Familiarity with General Ledger management is a must • Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries is vital • Should be competent in executing Month End Close activities • Proficiency in using software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is required • Must have experience in handling Month-end Close Activities • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is mandatory • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required • Should have strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines is necessary • Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection regulations.
