Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in COMMACK, New York. In this role, you will be tasked with handling all accounting operations within our organization, including the preparation of journal entries, the analysis of financial statements, and the management of company ledgers. Responsibilities: • Handle the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, performing account reconciliations and analyses. • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of business transactions. • Utilize skills in popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite to manage financial data. • Uphold financial compliance through the knowledge of state and federal regulations. • Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. • Manage company ledgers and ensure the accuracy of all entries. • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports. • Assist with the development of budgets and financial forecasts. • Conduct month-end and year-end closes. • Work closely with external auditors during financial and operational audits. • Maintain the confidentiality of all organizational information. Requirements • Candidate must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is mandatory • Familiarity with General Ledger is a must • Experience with Journal Entries is necessary • Proficiency in handling Month End Close tasks is expected • Knowledge of NetSuite is required • Proficiency in Oracle is necessary • Experience with QuickBooks is essential • Familiarity with SAP is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
