Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by researching account issues for compliance and developing and following quality control functions over financial transactions.
Responsibilities Participates in month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accountsResearch / post accruals, maintains and reconciles balance sheet accounts, and conduct variance analysisAudits financial transactions, verifies and analyzes business records and proceduresAssists with quarterly, interim and year-end auditsParticipates in JSOX compliance as a Process Owner, Document Creator, or Internal InspectorParticipates in monthly financial review meetings and perform variance analysis of actual to budget and/or forecast results for managementParticipates in development and review of annual operating budgets Assist with ad hoc requests as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting strongly preferred or equivalent experienceComputer skills including MS OfficeKnowledge of full-cycle accountingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and detail-orientedMust be willing to take on additional responsibilities and grow with the team.
