Staff Accountant
Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policyOwnership of all preparer tasks for the assigned functional accounting areas, including accurate and timely preparation of journal entries and relevant supporting documentation.Work effectively with internal and external peers, management, and business partners.Prepare properly supported balance sheet reconciliations timely and accurately; investigate and resolve reconciling differences in accordance with company policies and procedures.Maintain a focus on continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures.Ad hoc tasks and projects as needed

Essential skills and experience

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers, and cross-functionally within the organization.Experience with Power BI/Power Query is a plusB2+ English level.Strong analytical and technical research skills.Highly motivated, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectivelyWorking knowledge of US GAAP and SOXAt least two years’ experience in accounting or a related field.Knowledge and experience with payroll accounting, intercompany accounting, fixed asset accounting and/or general ledger.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience in Shared Services Accounting is a plus.Experience with computerized accounting systems such as SAP, ORACLE, BAAN or Syteline, a plus.

Minimum Education Requirements

BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
