Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting processes, from day-to-day bookkeeping tasks to assisting with month-end close activities and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP): Manage the accounts payable function by processing invoices, verifying vendor payments, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee the accounts receivable process, including generating and sending invoices, following up on overdue accounts, and recording customer payments.General Ledger (GL): Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely financial data, including entries for revenue, expenses, and adjustments.Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure that discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.Month-End Close: Assist with month-end closing activities, including posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial reports.Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements as requested by management.Tax Filings: Assist with tax filings and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with external tax professionals.Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, and handle associated tax withholdings.Financial Analysis: Provide analysis on financial data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for cost savings or improvements in financial operations.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders, responding promptly to inquiries related to financial matters.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in all financial transactions and reports.Miscellaneous Accounting Tasks: Provide general accounting support, including maintaining financial records, preparing internal reports, and assisting with audits or other financial reviews as needed.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage), Microsoft Excel, and other financial management tools. Experience with payroll software is a plus.Strong Knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, clients, and colleagues.Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide professional, timely, and effective service to both internal and external stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to resolve discrepancies and issues quickly and accurately.Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 2220780_1735935400 To Apply for this Job Click Here
