Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the healthcare and social assistance industry, particularly located in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is integral to our team, with a focus on maintaining financial records, managing cash, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities: • Oversee the cash management process to ensure efficient operations • Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records • Handle the month-end close process to ensure timely financial reporting • Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial transactions • Process journal entries to keep financial records up-to-date • Manage accounts payable to keep track of organizational spending • Oversee accounts receivable to maintain accurate records of incoming funds • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial processes and records. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in a healthcare, hospital or social assistance setting. • Proficiency in accounting software, including but not limited to, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. • Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations. • Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries. • Experience in completing Month End Close procedures. • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. • Commitment to ongoing development within the field of accounting.
