Staff Accountant
Description Key Responsibilities: • Handle general email requests and inquiries from Operations. • Sort and organize incoming mail, interpret requests, and communicate action items to the Manager. • Prepare and complete Waivers of Lien for the multiple companies. • Perform accounts receivable (A/R) tasks, including collection calls. • Resolve unapplied cash issues by collaborating with internal teams, the outsourced accounting team, and customers to accurately allocate payments. • Recording various cash transfers between companies in various ERP systems • Reconcile bank accounts monthly to tie to the general ledger • Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles • Assist with year-end audit process • Take responsibility for filing sales tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis • Process Manufacturer Change Orders and Direct Bills. • Code operating accounts payable invoices using our furniture procurement software. • Calculate and process SPIF (Sales Performance Incentive Fund) payments on a monthly basis. • Help with month-end close account reconciliations The salary range for this position is $26.44 to $31.25. Requirements Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently, assess priorities, and execute tasks with minimal supervision. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders. • Team player capable of successfully interacting at all levels with customers, peers, seniors & subordinates in the successful resolution of day-to-day business issues • Proficiency in accounting software and tools (experience with furniture procurement software is a plus).
