The successful candidate will conduct a vast range of accounting tasks, manage high volume work, and handle the month-end close process involving 40-50 reoccurring and event-based journal entries. The individual will need to have excellent analytic skills to reconcile unmatched transactions among different entities, making regular communication essential with other entities to maintain flow and accuracy. One key aspect of this role will be analyzing workloads, assessing the necessity for extra resources, and possibly aiding in the hiring process to balance the work volume. We're seeking a dedicated professional open to ongoing feedback, comfortable negotiating, and capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities: + Process month-end close, and handling journal entries. + Ensure all bookings align with the university timeline. + Follow up on and reconcile unmatched transactions. + Maintain constant communication with other entities to ensure process flow and accuracy. + Analyze workloads to determine if additional resources or process improvements are needed. + Handle intercompany transactions. Requirements Key Requirements: + Open and transparent communication skills. + Ability to work under pressure and handle high volume workload efficiently. + Understanding of intercompany transactions is beneficial but not required. + Capable of handling large data, with pivot table and V-lookup skills. + Proactive, timely, and comfortable in reaching out for approvals or assistance. + Comfort in a role involving continuous feedback and improvement. Work Environment: The role is 100% remote, but being local could be beneficial for potential on-site meetings. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible to adapt to different entities' timelines, especially during month-end closing processes. The chosen candidate will be taking over tasks from a staff member who was promoted, so we're looking for someone willing to commit to a long-term role. For this purpose, individuals comfortable facing challenges and desiring consistent growth in a dynamic work environment will find our organization best-suited. Reporting will be directly to Sara (Nam Jung). The ideal candidate will be undaunted by intricate tasks and will have the capability to pinpoint the source of variance when it occurs, further strengthening order within the organization.
