Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position in the aerospace industry, located in East Hartford, Connecticut, for a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties, including handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. You will also be required to use various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Responsibilities: • Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) function to ensure timely and accurate payment processing • Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) function, including invoice creation, payment receipt, and overdue account tracking • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date • Prepare journal entries as required for financial transactions • Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and analyze financial data.
