Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position in the non-profit industry based in New York. The role we are seeking to fill is a Staff Accountant who will play a crucial part in maintaining and processing our financial records. Responsibilities: • Ensure full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations are running smoothly • Generate detailed monthly financial reports • Maintain and update the General Ledger on a regular basis • Prepare and record Journal Entries as per the accounting standards • Perform month end close activities in a timely and accurate manner • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity • Utilize software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks • Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create reports • Experience with SAGE Intacct will be advantageous, though not a requirement. Requirements • Minimum five years of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently • Expertise in maintaining and managing the General Ledger • Knowledge and experience in making Journal Entries • Ability to manage Month End Close processes effectively • Experience in utilizing NetSuite for accounting-related tasks • Familiarity with Oracle as an accounting tool • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting functions • Experience with SAP in an accounting context Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
