The Staff Accountant is responsible for the accounting of cash receipts, escrow deposits, closing proceeds and related reports as well as monthly bank reconciliations.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

Assists with month end close, including cash, escrow processing and related reportsMaintains sound accounting methods and systems in accordance with corporate policies and proceduresPrepare monthly bank account and general ledger reconciliationsResearch and assign proper accounting codification to cash transactions (cash receipts, incoming and outgoing wires and ACH payments and collections) from multiple bank accountsRecord cash transactions journal entries to the GLAssist divisions tracking payments received from customers and record interdivisional journal entriesReconcile treasury monthly escrow release reports to GL and provide explanations for discrepanciesAssists in preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly reporting requirementsAssists in monthly revenue entries, various month-end accruals, re-classifications and allocation entries

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferredOne to three years of corporate or public accounting experience preferredStrong computer skills – Microsoft Word and ExcelJD Edwards and Hyperion experience preferredExcellent attention to detail and communication skills

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.
