Job Summary

ZOLL is seeking a diligent, knowledgeable and detail-oriented accounting professional to prepare and process financial information, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, ACH, and supplemental reporting, as well as perform analytics on the financial data. In addition to the traditional accounting duties, this position requires a keen analytical mindset to help drive efficiency improvements. Essential Functions

Prepare standard monthly journal entries, consistent with GAAP requirementsMaintain financial records for 4 business entitiesPrepare monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts, to include analysis of accounts for accuracy and reasonableness, and timely follow up and coordination for resolution of any issuesPrepare monthly Sales reportsPrepare supplemental reporting and analytics, as neededAssist in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingAssemble profitability by Customer, by a variety of product familiesAssist in the preparation of financial presentations for executive managementAssist with policy and procedure documentation and maintenanceEnsure sales tax returns and amendments are prepared, processed, and paid in a timely and accurate manner in all applicable state and local jurisdictions (monthly, quarterly, annually)Identify and implement new automation/efficiency opportunities to streamline accounting functions

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of experience in an accounting position2+ years of experience with multi-state sales tax processing preferredExperience with Oracle, Zuora and Avalara is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of general accounting principles, procedures, and softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data managementIntermediate to advanced Excel proficiencyAbility to work independently, be self-directed, and self-motivatedExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation for this position is $65K - $70K. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
