Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the heart of Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate accounting entries. Your role will also involve managing the general ledger, performing month-end close tasks, and utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of accounting entries • Handle the backlog and ensure all financial data is up-to-date • Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate records • Perform audit and forensics to ensure financial integrity • Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and timely • Perform journal entries as part of the month-end close process • Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting functions • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely and accurate processing • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
