Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Staten Island, New York. As part of our team, your role will be crucial in the day-to-day financial operations of our organization within the industry. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable, performing bank reconciliations, and utilizing your proficiency in QuickBooks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee and handle the accounts payable operations • Conduct bank reconciliations for 105 accounts of low volume • Ensure accuracy of financial records and transactions • Utilize QuickBooks effectively for accounting tasks • Leverage strong Excel skills for financial data management • Update and maintain the general ledger • Record and post journal entries as required • Assist in month-end close operations • Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP when necessary • Handle any additional responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable (AR) as needed. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory. • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory. • Mastery of Bank Reconciliations is necessary. • Applicants should be well-versed in General Ledger management. • The ability to handle Journal Entries is required. • Experience with Month End Close is necessary. • Proficiency in using NetSuite software is a must. • Familiarity with Oracle software is a key requirement. • Knowledge of QuickBooks software is essential. • SAP software skills are a major requirement.
